Colours.

When I think about the colour yellow,
It makes me think about the sun.
The warmth and brightness of the sun,
The warmth and love I get from mum.

Purple is my favourite colour;
Of clothes and room and duvet cover.
The vicars sashes, the altar dressings,
Are purple for Lent and Advent blessings.

The darkness of the night,
Sometimes gives me a fright.
The nightime reminds me of the colour black,
The stars add glitter upon the nap.

The purity of the colour white,
Reminds me of the holy light.
The lacy white fabric of my baptism dress,
The pure white candle so lovingly blessed.

When I think of the colour red,
I think of Gods son and the blood he shed.
God gives us his love right from the cradle,
And offers us red wine at the alter table.

When I think about the colour green,
I think about the world, and dream,
Of fields of food for everyone,
No more starvation and misery gone.

The colour green so fresh and clean,
What a wonderful world if we worked as a team.
